2008 Nonprofits by the Numbers and Nonprofit Employment Update - Just Released
The 2008 edition of Nonprofits by the Numbers shows that Maryland's nonprofit sector is not only growing in numbers, but budget sizes are growing as well - translating to roughly 9.5% of the entire state's workforce and 8.4% of Maryland's payroll. The May 2008 Maryland Nonprofit Employment Update shows that employment in the nonprofit sector grew three times faster than the state's for-profit sector.


Donors & Revenue Both Drop According to Recent Study

The number of donors and the revenue of the organizations tracked in the Target Analytics Index of National Fundraising both declined when the first quarter of 2008 is compared to the first quarter of 2007. It is the first time that both donors and revenue declined across the entire index since it has been tabulated beginning in the fall of 2001. Read full article in the Nonprofit Times>>
